Nookshift

Always-open measurement notebook

Privacy, kept on the same plane.

This policy describes Nookshift version 1.0.0 and separates app-private room data, Android boundaries, and the supplied static website.

Effective date: September 11, 2026

Scope and effective version

This policy applies to Nookshift, package app.nookshift.roomlayouts, version 1.0.0, and its two supplied static pages. It does not govern an app store, operating-system tool, or a later release with different behavior.

02Open book, reading-nook model and sealed room-plan folio

Organization and release identity

The publisher profile supplied for this release names Friends of Cache County Library at 15 N Main St, Providence, Utah 84332-9694. Nookshift remains an original room-layout tool associated with that profile. This policy does not claim an official library service, collection, schedule, fundraiser, partnership, endorsement, or statement of mission.

03Cards representing room dimensions, object positions and notes

Data you enter

Nookshift stores room width and depth, selected unit, object names and dimensions, x/y positions, orientation, selected object, circulation choice, optional note, recent undo frames, named variants, comparison selections, current route, and reduced-motion preference.

04Calculation pieces staying on one closed paper worktable

User-created notes and on-device processing

Your circulation note and variant names are text you choose to create. Board drawing, rectangular overlap checks, wall-edge gaps, nearest-object distances, undo, and comparison use only the current worktable values. They are visualization observations, not standards, physical measurements, code checks, safety findings, or professional advice.

05Local storage drawer holding a folded tracing sheet

App-private storage

Mutable worktable data is stored as local JSON in app-private Android SharedPreferences. Other apps are not given a Nookshift data interface. Bundled instructions and artwork are application resources, not personal records.

Permissions and device access

The inspected build requests no Android permission. Location, camera, microphone, contacts, notification, advertising-ID, calendar, sensor, health, and shared-storage access are unavailable directly to Nookshift in this release.

07Disconnected cable outside a closed room worktable

Network behavior

The signed build does not include the Android Internet permission and does not contact a developer server. Room editing, observations, variants, comparison, and undo use bundled resources and app-private state.

09Closed room-plan folio beside an empty handoff tray

Export, sharing, and system services

Nookshift does not implement export, sharing, upload, sale, sync, collaboration, or social posting. If you independently capture the screen or use device-level tools, that copy is controlled by you and the receiving tool or service.

10Capped modular service rail beside a self-contained room model

Analytics, advertising, and third-party SDKs

The inspected app contains no analytics SDK, advertising SDK, crash-reporting SDK, account SDK, social-login SDK, or billing SDK. No embedded service receives room entries, notes, or app events.

11Room-plan cards stored in an open modular drawer

Retention

Mutable room data remains in app-private storage until you clear the worktable, clear Android app storage, or uninstall the app. There is no publisher server that applies a separate retention schedule.

12Paper scraps moving into a separate delete tray

Deletion, reset, and uninstall

Clear worktable requires confirmation and removes the current room, blocks, notes, undo frames, and saved variants, then restores only the editable starter worktable. Clearing Android app storage or uninstalling also removes private app data under normal Android behavior.

13Device-shaped folio beside a disabled backup symbol

Backup and device transfer

Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled through the manifest and data-extraction rules. Nookshift has no app-level export or synchronization restoration path.

14Blank cream page passing through a simple model doorway

Static website request data

The supplied website is static. Its illustrative board updates only the current page and does not submit entered actions. If hosted publicly, the chosen host may process ordinary IP, request-time, path, and browser metadata for delivery, security, or operational logs.

15Empty model browser window beside an unused dish and blank tab

Cookies, browser storage, and tracking

The supplied pages do not set cookies, write localStorage, load analytics, embed advertising, or include a tracking pixel. Review the deployed host configuration before listing a public privacy URL.

16Neutral adult hobby desk with ordinary paper room objects

Children and intended audience

Nookshift is intended for general adult home-layout hobbyists and is not directed to children. It does not request age, identity, or contact information and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

17Closed clasp around personal tracing sheets

Security, limitations, and policy changes

App-private storage relies on Android and the device access controls you use. No system guarantees absolute security on an unlocked, rooted, compromised, or shared device. Material changes to permissions, SDKs, storage, networking, hosting, or ownership require a revised policy and effective date.

Privacy contact and user requests

Questions about this policy or privacy requests for this release may be mailed to Friends of Cache County Library, 15 N Main St, Providence, UT 84332-9694. Because Nookshift does not receive app records or maintain accounts, local work must be viewed or deleted on the device.

End of the always-open policy. Return to the cut list or return to Nookshift.
